• About the Dentist
This case comes from Dr. Hakan Colak in Turkey. He graduated from the Marmara University school of Dentistry in 2008 and received PhD in 2013 from Restorative Dentistry. He has been published many papers at international dental journals. He has been acting as an Editor-in-Chief of European Journal of General Dentistry since 2012. His main interest area is Direct Restorations, CAD/CAM systems, Adhesive Ceramic Restorations and Endodontics. Currently he is working as private practitioner in Kocaeli Turkey.
• Case
A 30 years old female presented with extensive composite and amalgam restorations on upper left quadrant. in clinical examination it was clearly noticed that there was a marginal staining, poor contacts and anatomic form. It was decided to restore those tooth with glass ceramic overlay.
• Initial
• Treatment Process
All existing restorations and decays underneath was removed and cleaned.
Then cavity optimization done with highly filed flowable composites. After overlay preparations was completed.
Scan overlay preparations with Helios 500.
After scanning, files were imported EXOCAD for design.
Immediate post of bonded glass ceramic overlays.
1 month follow-up.
